Peppermint essential oil comes in pill form, or can be used in droplet form. With regards to the type of problem you are experiencing, methods for take advantage of will change. Respiratory Relief

If you suffer from nasal congestion brought on by allergies, cold, or flu, peppermint oil when placed in a vaporizer will in most cases relieve breathing. Asthma sufferers can help lesson breathing difficulty by circulating peppermint oil and menthol vapors within his or her environment via a vaporizer. Alternately, you can apply several drops of peppermint oil and menthol to a warm cloth and place upon the chest for more intense therapy.

 

Sore throats generally accompanying allergies and colds, and peppermint oil combined with honey and warm tea can be a great source of delicious relief. In some cases, peppermint oil may help reduce fever, but at this stage, it is far more prudent to consult with your family doctor or local clinic.  Just as with over-the-counter medications, caution should be exercised when treating an elevated and prolonged fever.  Always stop administering any home remedy, including over-the-counter medications if your fever climbs or you experience any other uncomfortable side effects.  Immediately call your doctor or go to your nearest emergency room. Peppermint oil, as with any other substance should not be considered a replacement for good, sound medical advice.

Nausea & Digestion

Peppermint oil may relieve queasiness due to morning sickness, and travel motion. It is a delicious addition to hot tea and honey and in many cases will stimulate the appetite of someone suffering from nausea.  Together with acid reflux, peppermint oil capsules decreases stomach cramps, menstrual cramps, diarrhea, and bloating due to irritable bowel syndrome.

While a bottle of peppermint essential oil may be more cost effective, peppermint oil capsules are convenient and easy to store or take along with you where either you go.
